If you’re like me, things have been crazy so far this year. At time’s it’s almost overwhelming and impossible to escape from. So I’ve refocused on positivity, optimism, hope, and adjusting my attitude. 3 weeks in and so far so good. It’s easy to say stay positive but actually doing it is another story. I have found that it takes a lot of work. It’s so easy to get distracted by the negative and i have to force myself to change my thoughts and concentrate on something that makes me smile. It may sound silly but give it a try.

People are drawn to it and it feels so good to share good things.
I am blessed to have amazing people in my life, family and friends that I can count on no matter what. I have found communities of like-minded folks who I can vent to and laugh with ask questions, whether it’s career related, photography related or any other countless subject, I never have to feel alone. Sometimes just voicing a thought can take away its power, once you talk about it it’s not so bad and you can move on and let it go. Letting go, is another key in helping me maintain a positive attitude but it’s definitely a hard one and takes a lot of work.
One of the other things I’ve been working on to help me stay in a positive frame of mind is a little self-indulgence. I have been taking every opportunity to treat myself, even if it’s something small like some special chocolate; a trip to the spa, a weekend retreat, or a new outfit it reminds me that I am worth it every single time.
How about you, how are things going? What’s your secret to success?
