I have always been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. When life get’s to busy i find myself not having enough time to read. With a busy job, building a photography studio and juggling what feels like a million things I have not been reading as much as I’d like. Last year I started back and was able to read a lot while traveling it made me realize how much I still love it.
So for this year I’m going to make sure I read more. Photography books, business books, personal growth books, trashy romance, non-trashy romance, suspense and anything else that strikes my fancy, and I’m ready to read it.
First up for me is a book that I started a while ago but just had a chance to finish. It had a lot of Homework and I am proud to say that I actually did most of it. There are a few things that I may have to come back to but It made me think and I was ready to work.
I had the pleasure of seeing Simon T. Bailey in speak in person at a conference several years ago, and I found him to be a dynamic and inspiring speaker. I bought two of his books and was ready to begin; I started the first one but then got sidetracked and finally circled back around to it. I very rarely start books that I don’t finish so I decided to put one of his books at the top of my reading list.
Simon T. Bailey’s Release Your Brilliance was a great way to start of my reading for the year. It’s like having your own cheerleader pushing you and encouraging you to find your way. Simon prompts you to think about things and helps you to get started if you are interested in making some changes. It makes you look at all aspects of your life, so if your interested in changing your career or personal life there’s something for you, it you want to expand your personal life, there’s something for you. Based on the concepts of how diamonds are formed and created and the characteristics of diamonds thee are plenty of thought starters and enough to keep your interest. Simon T. Bailey believes that we all can be great and is trying to help move us to our own greatness, in whatever form that may take.
Have you read Release Your Brilliance? If so what did you think of it. What do you recommend I add to my reading list?
