Love this Lady!

Who says strength and courage comes in a big size, sometimes they are jam packed in a tiny 5’ frame.  A true warrior fights every battle that comes their way.  My mom is a true warrior and as time goes on she shows over and over again just what a warrior she is.

One fight with breast cancer is terrifying, but over 25 years ago, she fought that battle and won.  Once someone has cancer it’s always there, in the background lurking, you push it away and go on you treasure every moment and are thankful for every day. For us, we had a lot of time and then one day, it’s back, this time Ovarian Cancer, another fight, another battle, surgery, chemotherapy, test, test and another victory. More tests everything looks good.

Then, one day, your fears are realized and it’s back.  3rdtime more surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, more chemotherapy, clinical trials it’s another battle and even when wonder, how she does it she just does it.  She digs deep and finds the courage to fight day after day.  It’s amazing to watch and I am so grateful, for this phenomenal woman.  More than grateful for every day, we just enjoy finding new ways to enjoy every bit of time that we are gifted with.  Stubborn and a fighter she just does not give in, feisty as heck when she wants to be cancer or no cancer.

We are blessed with a wonderful family and truly amazing friends that are true gifts in our lives and there is nothing like the love and support of others.  You never know how grateful and thankful you can be until someone does something that they don’t have to do purely from the goodness of their hearts.

We are so thankful to the doctors, nurses and staff and all of the offices and clinics that make a terrifying situation bearable.  The research team that believes so much in her and keeps tabs on her and encourages her so much.

We just had a chance to spend some family time together at a destination wedding, birthday cake for all the September birthdays; which of course included her 78th, and it was so much fun, nothing but love and blessings, and gratitude for every moment

Keeping fighting with courage and grace and we’ll keep loving you.
