Yes, it’s that time of the year here in LA County. It’s time for the fair. Casual and laid back it reminds me of attending the Michigan State Fair as a little girl. It was such a big deal to go to the fair, rather than just the Carnival that came every year to one of high school parking lots. Everything was bigger at the fair. Colorful busy there was so much to see and do. Fair food of course was a treat, picking your rides, checking out concerts, shows and events so many choices and so much to do.
Colorful, loud and a visit to the fair is always fun.Want to see a concert? You’re covered.Love rides such as the Tilt-A-Whirl, Swings, Ferris Wheel, Carousel, Bumper Cars, again you are covered.Hungry for Candy Apples, Cotton Candy, Funnel Cakes, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade and a whole host of other unique items (be warned, there is a lot of frying and many many items on sticks) this year’s fair is boasting 1200.Give the Chicken Mac & Cheese in a Waffle cone or spicy Turkey leg a try. head to your nearest fair.
Are you determined to win a prize, maybe impress that special someone, there is no shortage of chances to beat the game and I know you want that pink stuffed gorilla? Head over to the game midway for some traditional games think ring and goldfish toss, shoot the hoop, balloon pop, lots of other tosses, including, quarters, whiffle balls, balls, ping pongs, water games and so many more; but of course there are plenty of video games if that’s more your style. Small, Medium and Large prizes await so just show off your skills.
Adults or kids will be able to find a way to spend an afternoon or an evening no doubt. With no shortage of entertainment, enjoy relax treat yourself kids or no kids to a classic trip to the fair. The LA County Fair is just a short drive and you can getaway to the fun of the fair.
