One way to bet the winter blues is with a quick trip to picturesque Las Vegas. It’s the perfect weekend getaway. You’ll find so much to do and you might not be able to get to everything on your list. Whether you’re looking for busy or relaxing, there’s definitely something for every taste.
First you’ll have to decide where you want to stay and you have so many choices. There are hotels for those that just need a room no frill necessary (who’s going to be there anyway) and of course there are countless luxurious hotels for the indulgent pampered weekend and everything in between. From rooms to themed suites, on the strip off the strip, casinos, or no casinos, there is something for all. On the Strip for anything goes or just off the strip for a more family friendly venture and hotels without casinos.
If you’re like me you’re a foodie and Las Vegas can be almost overwhelming with the choices. I think every celebrity chef have to have a presence in Las Vegas with many having multiple restaurants. You’ll have so many options you won’t now where to start. The famous buffets are still there and the perfect place to try a lit bit of everything if you’d prefer a lot of everything. No calorie counting, no dieting, just enjoy yourself it is Vegas.
It’s Vegas so you’ll get out and stay. Narrowing down the choices is going to be the hard part. Of course there are the casinos for those that are feeling lucky. From the smaller hotel casinos to the big names, you’ll have endless opportunities to test your luck, stay up all night if you like, they certainly don’t mind. Bars and Clubs are everywhere you look; you just need to figure out what you are in the mood for from the low key to the hottest events, the party does not end. In the mood for a show or concert take your pick. I must admit I’m a bit of a fan of the Cirque de Soleil shows. Your favorite celebrity might be in town or may even have made a home in Las Vegas and have standing shows.
You can always sneak away and explore nearby attractions such as the quiet and relaxing Red Rock park, Top Golf, get behind an exotic sports car at a Driving Experience all just a few miles away, or you can take a drive over and explore Hoover Dam when you need a break from the strip.
If shopping makes you happy then once again you are in luck. You’ll find designer shops throughout the hotels and shopping centers and as you explore you can easily shop till you drop and all of the names that you love.
What is your favorite thing to do in Sin City? We won’t tell, promise.
