Nestled in the Colorado Mountains is picturesque Aspen Colorado. Beautiful and welcoming it was the perfect spot for an intimate destination wedding. My nephew and is beautiful bride fell in love instantly and decided to get married in the breathtaking Maroon Bells, truly on of the most amazing locations and you’ll quickly see why they are the most photographed peaks in North America. With a professional photographer booked and handling all of the official photos, the family including me) got to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Founded in 1879 by miners Aspen is quaint and quiet inviting and refined all at the same time. Even though it’s thought of for skiing it’s still a perfect getaway year round even for a non-skier, but of course the winter snow in the mountain make an irresistible playground for skiing snowboarding and all winter fun.
We stayed at the Limelight, a modern downtown boutique hotel. In walking distance to the shops and restaurants it’s easy to explore. They even have a loaner car program that let’s you getaway for a bit and see more of the sights. The beds were heavenly, as my mom will tell you; so much so, she now has one at home, true story.
Aspen was such a beautiful place; I will definitely have to go back.
What is your favorite place? Where do you want to go next?
