Always intrigued by the islands, my first visit to one happened to be the unforgettably beautiful picture perfect Turks and Caicos. Technically in the Atlantic Ocean the British Overseas Territory is 575 miles Southeast of Miami and is roughly midway between the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic. Setting the bar high for all of my future island visits, the remarkable Beaches Turks and Caicos resort is paradise. For a photographer there were perfect photos everywhere so if you can pull yourself away from the relaxing fun be sure to bring your camera. The island beauty provide a perfect backdrop for portraits an addition to the picturesque scenery.
Located in Providenciales or Provo as the locals call it, the family friendly Beaches Resort is part of the Sandals family of all-inclusive resorts. While the Sandals brand is for couples the Beaches brand is for everyone so you can bring your family and kids or a group of girlfriends.
The resort offers something for everyone, with different villages of rooms from Seaside, Caribbean and Key West inspired to French and Italian the rooms, penthouses and villas offer something for everyone. If you need more pampering, a Butler room will do the trick.
Enjoy their dine around the world concept with a restaurant to suit every style and need. From causal beachside dining to high-end steakhouse, there’s seafood, southwestern, buffets, Japanese and so much more to choose from. You might not have enough time to get to everyone, or you might even split up your courses between restaurants to try even more. With more than 20 restaurants, the choice is yours.
Don’t forget to check out the Red Lane Spa. The hot stone massage is to die for and I’m sure all of their other spa treatments are just as divine. There are pools scattered throughout the property, some busy with entertainment, some quiet and relaxing. There are so many activities you can choose from, scuba diving and snorkeling or take an island tour. Nestled on Grace Bay Beach, considered one of the best in the world, you can simply pull up a chair and enjoy the crystal clear turquoise water and the soft white sand.
The staff are the nicest, kindest people, they will remember your name and your favorite drink before the end of your stay. No matter what you need they will make sure you are well taken care of. No matter how long your stay you won’t want to leave.
